Fight the affordability crisis and Trump’s attacks on democracy
This summer DSA and Cosecha are petitioning for two ballot measures to meet the moment with working class power:
In 2022 Elizabeth City Council weakend rent control. We demand restoring the $20 cap on rent increases!
It’s 2025 and ICE continues to use Elizabeth for immigrant detention. We say “free them all!” and demand justice for our immigrant neighbors with restoring noncitizen voting for local elections.
The only way we win a city for everyone is by fighting for ourselves and expanding more rights to our neighbors.
